Managing Partner
Smart is a registered Professional Engineer. He has over 30 years of work experience in the FMCG, Agro processing, Oils and Fuels industries. Smart has gained this experience from local and international companies, which include Unilever (SA), Kellogg (SA), Tiger Brands SA, Colgate Palmolive, Anchor Yeast, United Refineries Spar Franchise and Engen.
Smart holds a Doctorate in Management of Technology and Innovation from the Da Vinci Institute, an Executive MBA from NUST, a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, a Diploma in Accounting and Finance (ACCA), an Advanced Diploma in Project Management (Cranefield), and a certificate in Basic Supply Chain Management (APICS).

Tawana has led Operational Excellence in the Fintech and Manufacturing Industries and worked in multiple global locations, coordinating execution across time zones and cultures. He has also been instrumental in business development and corporate strategy execution. He uses program management principles and techniques to focus on internal and external partnerships and tactics aligned to growth and sustainable continuous improvement.
Tawana is not only a Chartered Chemical Engineer with IChemE UK but also a PMI-certified Project Management Professional, a CFA® Charterholder and pursuing an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology from Loughborough UK, where he got his BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering with a Diploma in Industrial Studies.
